I was checking in on the YouTube Life in a Day channel and discovered the project hit picture lock a couple of weeks ago! Having whittled down 5000 hours of footage into a 94 minute feature, they’re now in the post-production phase working on music, sound mixing, and color work. The Sundance Film Festival premiere is scheduled for January 27 at 8:15pm (EST), which will be streamed live on YouTube.

Their YouTube channel is also highlighting a new interview with director Kevin Macdonald and editor Joe Walker on how “Life in a Day” uses a whole new type of filmmaking. Check out the video, and if you keep your eye on the background around the 00:05 second mark, you’ll catch a glimpse of my Arangetram footage displayed on their editing system!! It’s looking like I may have made it into the film…
